PhD Candidate

Reza’s research is primarily about conventional and unconventional reservoir geomechanics. Currently, he is doing his PhD in petroleum engineering and working on stress modelling and permeability prediction in Coal Seam Gas Reservoirs. His research aim is to develop a new analytical model for stress distribution and permeability evaluation in unconventional reservoirs by coupling fluid flow, desorption, and geomechanics. He has  M.Sc in petroleum engineering and a B.Sc in mining engineering. Reza has previous work experience as a petroleum engineer in National Iranian Oil Company (NIOC), and during his career period he was involved in multidisciplinary industrial projects including filed development plan, production optimization, wellbore stability analysis, shale gas reservoir characterization, hydraulic fracturing, well log interpretation and reservoir characterization.
