Mohammad Razib Hossain

Razib is a PhD student at the School of Economics and Public Policy. He completed his BSc. Degree in Agricultural Economics from Bangladesh Agricultural University and his MSc. Degree in Theoretical Economics from the University of Leeds, in the United Kingdom. Razib has been actively involved in applied research, and his primary focus has been on environmental economics and energy. Razib has published in the SSCI, ABDC, and ABS-ranked journals, and his work focuses on bringing environmental justice by moderating the roles of different agents in our society, allowing a win-win situation for both the environment and its components.
Razib has been named as the world's top 2% highly cited researcher by Stanford University and Elsevier. On top of that, Razib has been named one of the top 100 young economists by Research Papers in Economics (RePEc) (based on the citations in the last five years) in 2024. For his academic excellence, Razib has received the Prime Minister Gold Medal and other recognitions.
