I am an Early Career Researcher (PDRA) at the School of Chemical Engineering, University of Adelaide, Australia, working on a Medical Research Future Fund (MRFF) project focused on developing an integrated microfluidic chip for personalized mRNA vaccine development. I am assigned to a team which is dedicated to the development of biosensing units for quality check and assurance at various stages of vaccine development.
I hold a Ph.D. from the Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati, India, where my research cantered on Nanobiosensors for affordable healthcare. My research expertise lies in plasmonic nanomaterials, biosensing, point-of-care testing (POCT) devices, electrochemistry, spectroscopic techniques, and computational modelling with a strong focus on developing high-performance diagnostic tools.
Focusing on scientific innovation and translational research, I worked for the development of POCT devices targeting non-invasive detection of Cervical Cancer, Urinary Tract Infection, Cholesterol & Triglycerides, Glucose & Ketones, and more with future efforts directed toward developing sensing and analytical technologies that integrate into real-world applications. I am also dedicated to science communication and mentorship, sharing knowledge through academic writing, tutorials, and educational content to support researchers in the field.
