Mingyue Zheng has done her master at the University of Bristol in the United Kingdom, and then worked as a research assistant at the Chengdu University of Traditional Chinese Medicine for two years. She has been engaged in the application of continuous blood glucose monitors in type 2 diabetes since 2015.
Currently, she is doing PhD in Medicine at the University of Adelaide, Australia. Her PhD project aims to explore the burden of diabetes in Australian general practice, and investigate whether current guidelines are consistent with activities performed by general practitioners regarding diabetes screening, diagnosis, management and risk reduction. This project uses MedicineInsight (https://www.nps.org.au/medicine-insight), a national database with data from over 650 general practices. It is a quality improvement program developed and managed by NPS MedicineWise with funding from the Australian Government Department of Health.
