Dr Mikaela Doig

Dr Mikaela Doig is a Research Associate at Adelaide University and a clinically practicing Radiation Therapist. Her research is dedicated to improving outcomes for people affected by cancer and other chronic health conditions, with a particular focus on children and young people.
She completed a Bachelor of Medical Radiation Science (Radiation Therapy) (Honours) in 2019, followed by her PhD (conferred in 2026) at the University of South Australia. Since 2024, she has been employed in concurrent research and clinical roles at SAHMRI, Women’s and Children’s Hospital, Adelaide University and the Australian Bragg Centre for Proton Therapy and Research.
Dr Doig has expertise in patient-reported outcomes, digital health, paediatric oncology, radiation oncology, proton therapy and artificial intelligence research in healthcare. She is experienced in quantitative, qualitative, mixed-methods and co-design research methodologies, and is actively involved in supervising research students.
