Dr Li Meng is a Lecturer in transport, logistics and Supply Chain Management. Li has previously worked in automotive engineering for 5 years and Supply Chain Management for 5 years both in China and Australia for ZF Chassis Company. In 2006, Li’s employer applied for a special skill immigration visa for Li because of her knowledge in Web Electronic Data Exchange and Supply Chain Management. After coming to Australia, Li obtained her Graduate Diploma in Business Management studying part time while working. In 2009, Li started her PhD full time in Transport Engineering (by utilising discrete choice models to investigate consumer travel behaviour and demand) which she completed in 2013.
From 2013-2018, Li worked as a Research Fellow (during this time Li had two babies) and has successfully applied for research funding for different projects. She worked on projects regarding the impact of a rising sea-level on urban planning, children active travel, integrated transport and land use modelling and the impact of the built environment on the mobility of older people. In 2018, Li worked as a full-time research fellow on shared mobility, economic dynamic models, forestry supressed resource management, bicycle modelling, smart campus design and reconciliation and food supply chain supply chain projects. From 2020, Li become a Lecturer in transport, logistics and supply chain. Li maintains her search aspriation in food supply chain and extends to bush tucker, tourism, culture and reconciliation from supply chain perspective. Li is currently working with Aboriginal Elders for reconciliation project.

Transport behaviour modelling, discrete choice modelling, land use modelling, travel demand modelling, bicycle modelling and transit-oriented development (TOD), behaviour change in sustainable development of low carbon living, residential and domestic waste management,Social, economic and environmental assessment in climate change related issues,Supply chain management (food, biomass and wood)
