Megan is a PhD candidate, research assistant, and tutor in the School of Public Health. She has a Bachelor of Nutrition and Dietetics (Honours) from Flinders University, is an Accredited Practicing Dietitian, and has a background in oral health.

Her PhD project is based on the 'Baby Teeth Talk' randomized controlled trial, a health promotion intervention focusing on dental health, diet, general health, and social outcomes of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children and their families. Megan's project analyses the effect of the trial intervention on dietary intake of children. Her supervisors are A/Prof Lisa Smithers, Professor John Lynch, and A/Prof Lisa Jamieson (ARCPOH, School of Dentistry), and her research is within BetterStart Child Health and Development research group.

Megan's research interests include paediatric nutrition, Aboriginal health, public health nutrition, diet patterns, obesity and chronic disease prevention, and dietary assessment methods.
