Megan is a University of Adelaide graduate, current PhD candidate and tutor in the Department of Media with a keen interest in globalisation, pop culture and fandom.
My research explores the growing use of English in Korean pop music (K-pop) through the lenses of cultural and linguistic hegemony and media imperialism. In doing so, I aim to uncover the global implications of this trend on both K-pop and broader media and pop culture landscapes.
