I am a fourth year PhD candidate at Adelaide University within the Chemokine Biology Laboratory, in the College of Sciences. My project, entitled "Understanding Pathogenic CD4+ T Cell Recruitment to the Inflamed Nervous System", involves utilising novel transcriptomic technology, including single cell RNA sequencing and Xenium spatial transcriptomics, to explore migratory axes that recruit pathogenic CD4+ T cells to the central nervous system (CNS) during neuroinflammation. I am also investigating modulation of migratory signals at different CNS barrier sites. I am supervised by Dr Iain Comerford, Professor Shaun McColl, and Dr Stevie Pederson.

My research interests include autoimmunity, CD4+ T cell biology, cell migration, chemokines, and the CNS.

I am a fourth year PhD candidate at Adelaide University within the Chemokine Biology Laboratory, in the College of Sciences, supervised by Dr Iain Comerford, Professor Shaun McColl, and Dr Stevie Pederson. My research involves the application of both single cell RNA sequencing and Xenium spatial transcriptomics to investigate migratory ligand and receptor expression within the inflamed central nervous system, with the aim of applying our findings to the understanding and treatment of multiple sclerosis (MS). We are interested in determining migratory cues specific to pathogenic CD4+ T cells that can be uniquely targeted, allowing for the free migration and circulation of non-pathogenic subsets, which may mitigate the severe side effects seen with currently prescribed MS therapeutics.

My research interests include autoimmunity, CD4+ T cell biology, cell migration, chemokines, and the CNS.
