I am a PhD student currently investigating the experiences and supportive care needs of men diagnosed with prostate cancer. In particular, my research focuses on men on active surveillance, which is a recommended treatment option for men with low risk, localised prostate cancer. Active surveillance aims to delay curative treatments (e.g. surgery) until the cancer has progressed to a clinically significant level. This research is supervised by Dr Camille Short, Dr Melissa Opozda (both from the Adelaide Medical School), as well as Professor Daniel Galvao (Edith Cowan University).
