Md Azharul Islam is an educator, architect, and researcher currently pursuing a PhD in the School of Architecture and Built Environment at Adelaide University, supported by the Adelaide University Research Scholarship (AURS). He is currently on-leave from his position as Assistant Professor at Khulna University, Bangladesh. His doctoral research focuses on neighbourhood planning in state-led resettlement, with broader interests in housing, disaster resilience, and environmental psychology. He has also worked as an architect and urban designer on projects with organisations including UNDP, GIZ, and BEDS.
