My research focuses on the mineralogy and geochemistry of Fe-oxides (hematite/magnetite) in the Olympic Dam iron-oxide Cu-Au (IOCG)-system, South Australia, and adjacent prospects. Geochemical signatures (minor to trace elements) of Fe-oxides, as determined by EPMA and LA-ICP-MS, can be linked from the micron- to nanoscale, with the spatial and temporal evolution of the deposit and adjacent prospect. These results carry implications for the understanding ore genesis at Olympic Dam and for models of regional metallogeny.
