Dr Max Bessell

Max has a PhD from the University of Adelaide and is a Fellow of CAANZ. He has over 18 years of professional and legal experience in legal and accounting practices. In addition, his university experience encompasses over 17 years of academic and senior management positions. Max has had a long association with the ICAA/CAANZ including Deputy Chairman of the Regional Council and a past CA Program facilitator. He is also a past member of the ICAA's National Quality Review Committee and Chair for 5 years. His research interests deal with the auditing profession, audit firms and the regulatory environment they operate in.He has significant international education experience being Associate Dean (International) for the Faculty of the Professions at the University of Adelaide, Chairperson for the Australian Business Deans Council (International Network) and also was part of the Australian Government APEC delegation on Human Resource Development Working Group to Russia (Moscow and Vladivostok) in 2012.
