Matteo Farina is a researcher, an academic, and an expert in Applied Linguistics and social media. Before joining The University of Adelaide, Matteo worked at the University of South Australia and Flinders University. He is a member of the Research Centre for Languages and Cultures at the University of South Australia and an Adjunct Lecturer at Flinders University. Over the years, he undertook multiple research projects and delivered courses in Applied Linguistics, Linguistics, Languages and Communication.
Matteo published a best-selling book on how people communicate on Facebook. This book is entitled "Facebook and Conversation Analysis".
Recently his research has focused on misinformation, disinformation opertions and foreign interference, especially through social media platforms.
