Mariam has a background of teaching business and information technology at various universities. Additionally, she has over 16 years of experience teaching in online learning environments. She holds a doctorate in management and business as well as a degree in business and information technology.
Mariam is an academic researcher whose research interests include human resource management in the modern era, HRM 4.0, the future of work, the fourth industrial revolution and its effects on businesses, and coping with a technologically advanced and turbulent environment.
Mariam is interested in researching human resources management in the fourth industrial revolution. She has developed a human resource decision framework for multinational organisations employing non-standard employees. Her upcoming research outputs will be highlighting the importance of human resources in the era of artificial intelligence and robotics and the strategies to be adopted by organisations to best utilise human resources as partners of organisations in technologically growing enviornment.
