  • minerals processing (fundamental and applied leaching studies),synthesis and characterisation of model mineral systems
  • applications of interfacial science in food systems
  • materials science (preparation,development and characterisation of functional materials: magnetic ceramic materials: ferrites, orthoferrites; BSCCO superconductors)
  • use of x-ray and nuclear techniques in materials characterization
