Linda is a PhD candidate with a project focusing on barriers and enablers to the implementation of trauma-informed dementia care within formal aged care service provision. Linda has extensive experience working as an occupational therapist within the aged care sector with first-hand experience of the challenges and complexity in caring for people with trauma who are also living with dementia. This project has stemmed from observations of a pressing need to increase knowledge about ways to more sensitively and compassionately support this population.
Linda has a particular interest in the area of aged care, with a focus on caring for people with dementia.
Linda is the Course Coordinator and teaches into courses including Advanced Occupational Therapy Practice and Neurological Conditions and Advanced Community Occupational Therapy and Chronic Conditions Management / Enabling Occupation 4.
