Lisa is a Lecturer in Law and PhD Candidate with Justice and Society at the University of South Australia. She is the Program Director for the Bachelor of Criminology and Criminal Justice degree. Lisa's teaching and research interests include criminal law and procedure, sentencing, evidence, constitutional law, and statutory interpretation. Lisa is admitted to practise as a barrister and solicitor of the Supreme Court of South Australia.

Lisa is completing a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Law at the University of South Australia. Her doctoral research examines the legitimacy of the early guilty plea in the resolution of criminal matters, including its implications for principles of criminal procedure. Lisa is also currently working with the South Australian Law Reform Institute (SALRI) on its project 'Evaluation of the Role and Operation of Suppression Orders in South Australia'.
