My research is driven by a commitment to both understanding and addressing systemic inequities. A central pillar of my current research interests, includes an exploration of how climate change inaction disproportionately burdens vulnerable communities, examining the socio-political mechanisms that perpetuate these disparities. I am particularly interested in the lived experiences of marginalised populations and the policy frameworks that either exacerbate or alleviate environmental risks.
Concurrently, my research on student engagement and learning focuses on developing pedagogical models that empower students to become active, informed agents of change. By creating curricula that connect abstract concepts, such as climate justice, to tangible local and global contexts, I aim to foster a deeper sense of civic responsibility and critical thinking. Ultimately, my work seeks to bridge the gap between academic analysis and real-world impact, equipping both scholars and students with the tools to build a more equitable and sustainable future.
