Krishna completed his Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) in 2013 and Master of Dental Surgery (MDS) in Public Health Dentistry in 2019 from B.P. Koirala Institute of Health Sciences (BPKIHS), Dharan, Nepal. He worked as a general dentist for three years (2013–2016).He began his career as a public health dentist at Pokhara Academy of Health Sciences, where he worked for two years (2019–2021). Subsequently, he joined the Department of Community Dentistry at Gandaki Medical College Teaching Hospital and Research Center, Pokhara, Nepal, as an assistant professor. During his three-year tenure (2021–2024), he taught community dentistry/public health dentistry to undergraduate students, provided research training to postgraduate students, and mentored BDS interns in their research projects. Alongside his academic responsibilities, he was actively involved in delivering clinical oral health services in Pokhara.Krishna has been actively involved in academic and editorial activities. He served as a member of the Institutional Review Committee at Pokhara Academy of Health Sciences, Kaski, Nepal, while also contributing as an Editorial Member for the Medical Journal of Pokhara Academy of Health Sciences and the Journal of Gandaki Medical College-Nepal, for which he additionally held the role of Managing Editor. Currently, he serves as an editorial member for BMC Public Health and associate editor at JBI Evidence Implementation (JBIEI). He serves as a peer reviewer for numerous prestigious international journals, including BMJ Open, Community Dentistry and Oral Epidemiology, JDR Clinical & Translational Research, BMC Oral Health, BMC Primary Care, and the International Journal of Dental Hygiene, among others. He is highly open to collaborative research and has a keen interest in oral health, oral health-related quality of life, epidemiology, public health, and tobacco-related studies.Krishna is a current PhD candidate in Dentistry at Adelaide University, Australia.
