Clinical radiologist with subspecilaty expertise in oncology and pelvic imaging. Clinical Senior Lecturer - The University of Adelaide, Past chair & current executive member - Abdominal Radiology Group of Australia & New Zealand, Corresponding Fellow - European Society of Gastrointestinal and Abdominal Radiology, Fellow - International Cancer Imaging Society, Member - Society of Abdomial Radiology (USA) Anorectal Disease Focused Panel. Research interests include rectal MRI, prostate cancer, Dual energy CT, improvements in radiology education and reporting, with national and international colaborations.Educational contributions predominantly involve national and international radiologist and non radiology meetings and workshops. Contributions to face to face teaching at The University of Adelaide in MS1 & MS4 and virtual lectures for MS3.
My primary research is focused on gastrointestinal and urological conditions, in particular rectal and prostate cancer. I am involved in imaging based research as well as collaborations which assess imaging as part of disease assessment and management.
I also focus on assessing the uptake and use of guidelines for technical quality and reporting in oncological imaging. Poor image quality reduces the ability to report accurately and failure to use standardised guidelines impedes the ability to compare international research findings accurately.
Assessing new imaging technologies in oncological and abdominal imaging, such as Dual energy CT, Photon counting CT, high gradient MRI systems and AI assisted MRI sequences is an additional area of research activity.
