She also has run her own business in education for five years.
Besides passionate about teaching, Kim is also active in research and scholarship. She has published her worked at leading international journals such as Long Range Planning and Journal of Product and Brand Management. She has presented her works at leading conferences (E.g. Academy of Management) and received valuable feedback, support, and awards from internationally recognised scholars (E.g. Best conference paper at ANZMAC 2015).

Over the last four years, I am always interested in the managerial decision because managers decision making routinely affect the value and viability of firms. In contributing to this field of scholarship, I have developed a scholarly interest and commitment to improving our understanding of how managerial capabilities influence firm performance, particularly in dynamic capabilities context. Despite important insights about managerial capabilities, the roles of the managers in dynamic capabilities theory remain limited. I believe rather than viewing firms as entities separate of its strategic decision-making bodies; attention needs to be given to the roles of a firm’s board of directors and its top management team’s managerial dynamic capabilities. Moreover, I am passionate in branding research areas. I strive to advance theoretical thinking, but also put the proposed frameworks to empirical testing.
