Care of the older person in today’s health system provides a unique opportunity to adapt and rejuvenate our approach to nursing management as the health landscape continues to shift, accommodating real-time and anticipated demand. Nursing system and quality measures must be sensitive to the unique clinical need of the older person to ensure organizational responsiveness in meeting future demand. To address this need a scoping review of the literature through the University of Adelaide Nursing School is being undertaken to determine what geriatric nursing indicators might identify quality nursing care.
