Ms Kerrin Rowlands

Kerrin Rowlands is a lecturer in Arts Education at the University of South Australia. Kerrin studied dance at the Victorian College of the Arts and worked as a dancer, choreographer and live artist in festivals and companies across Australia and Europe. She has taught extensively in schools, universities and arts education organisations. She works with government and education departments as a professional learning program coordinator in arts education and as a teaching artist in dance and Creative Body-based Learning (CBL). Kerrin has M.Ed Leadership and Management and is a PhD candidate. Kerrin’s research focuses on the enactment of dance in the school curriculum and Creative and Body-based Learning pedagogies. Kerrin is a member of the Australian Tertiary Dance Council (TDCA) and Ausdance. She works closely with pre-service teachers, professional teaching artists, school leaders, government and community arts organisations as an advocate to foster partnerships and lead change across all areas of arts education and industry.
