Kellie is a Research Officer and PhD Candidate at the University of Adelaide. She begun her research journey in 2019, completing her honours focusing on maternal productivity of beef cattle and modelling the imapct of feed availability and body composition. She then worked as a Senior Production technician at a pharmaceutical company using an ovine model for production of life saving medication where she led small teams to ensure correct animal health, animal welfare, GMP documentation and internal / external audits. She then returned to Adelaide University as a research officer, where she has now also begun her PhD, focussing on reducing methane emisisosns in beef cattle, with a focus on cow-calf systems.
