My research focuses on the improvement of soil fertility and crop nutrition using eco-friendly methods. I also study the impact of environmental factors, particularly drought, on soil nutrient cycling and response of functional microbes in the soil-plant-organic amendment system. I am also interested in exploring bioremediation strategies for both organic (e.g. pesticides) and inorganic (heavy metals) contaminants in the soil.
