
Kathleen Wright

Kathleen is a Visiting Research Fellow. She completed a combined PhD/Masters of Psychology (Clinical) at The University of Adelaide. She is also a Psychologist (Clinical Registrar, MAPS), and works part time as a Research Assistant within the Health Policy Centre at SAHMRI.
Her PhD thesis was titled "Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy for Children: Is it feasible, acceptable, and effective, for prevention of internalizing difficulties in Australian primary school children?". Kathleen's research within SAHMRI’s Health Policy Centre has included areas such as patient-reported outcome measures (PROMs) for prostate and breast cancers, through to sugary drinks consumer behaviour, and attitudes towards policy. Other interests include prevention of anxiety and depression in children, and adults with chronic health conditions such as diabetes.
