Katherine is a Senior Research Fellow in the College of Education, Behaviour and Social Sciences within the Centre for Change and Complexity in Learning (C3L). She brings extensive school-based expertise in educational leadership and governance across R–12 school sectors in both Australia and the United Kingdom.
Katherine has held a wide range of senior executive and sector-level leadership roles shaping national education policy and local reform, most recently as Director of the Centre for Innovation at the Association of Independent Schools where she established state-wide, muti-year practice-led research networks aligned to future-oriented learning ambition.
Katherine currently leads the Teaching Futures Pathway project, a key initiative of the Australian Government-funded High Achieving Teachers (HAT) Program, supporting schools and leaders across all education sectors to embed employment-based pathways through adaptive and enabling local-leadership, with a focus on developing dynamic capability in complexity through systems and futures thinking.
