Dr Julie Trinidad

Julie is a theologian and educator who currently holds the position of Catholic Studies Lecturer, Course Coordinator and Program Director of the Graduate Certificate in Education (Catholic Education) at Adelaide University. She also works as part of the Catholic Identity and Mission Team at Catholic Education SA. Julie has been Ministry Formation Program Coordinator for the Catholic Archdiocese of Adelaide, lecturer in ministry studies at the Catholic Theological College as well as tutor in theology at Flinders University. She has held the position of Coordinator of Youth Ministry for the Catholic Archdiocese of Adelaide and has been a teacher and Religious Education Coordinator/Assistant Principal Religious Identity and Mission (APRIM) in a number of Catholic secondary schools both in South Australia and the Northern Territory and also in Manila, Philippines.
Julie holds Bachelors and Masters degrees in both Education (Adelaide and Flinders) and Theology (Flinders and the Catholic University of Leuven, Belgium). Early in her career, she graduated from the Institute for Spirituality and Worship (ISW) Program at the Jesuit School of Theology, Berkeley California.  Her PhD (supervisor: Professor Denis Edwards OAM), awarded by the Australian Catholic University, included a year of research as a visiting scholar at the Cardinal Walter Kasper Institute for Theology, Ecumenism and Spirituality at the Philosophisch-Theologische Hochschule, Vallendar Germany.  More recently Julie has completed a Graduate Diploma in Spiritual Direction (ACU/Jesuit College of Spirituality). She is currently in practical training as a Spiritual Director with the Arrupe Program.
