Julja Szuster is a musicologist and Visiting Research Fellow at the Elder Conservatorium. Her research interests are music in colonial Australia and 17th Century Italian baroque music and she publishes widely and presents papers regularly at national and international conferences. Julja is the Managing Editor of the Journal of Music Research Online (www.jmro.org.au). From 2008 to 2015 she was a board member and deputy chair (2012-2015) of the Adelaide Youth Orchestra, and from 1999 to 2004 a member and chair (2002-2004) of the SA selection committee of the Fulbright scholarships. From 1996 to 2009 she was the president and is now a committee member (2010-2017) of the SA Chapter of the Musicological Society of Australia. Julja worked for the SA Government for 34 years in music education and arts funding and is a member of the Australian College of Education (MACE).
