Joti coordinates the Design Construct Program within the School of Architecture and Built Environment. This is an experiential learning program which teaches students through the design and construction of live projects in remote or underserved communities.
Joti has international experience in hands-on project delivery, including volunteer work with Emergency Architects supervising post tsunami reconstruction in Indonesia, design construct experience in Australia, Sweden, the Netherlands, Cambodia and Vanuatu.
Currently, Joti teaches the final year construction studio in the Bachelor of Architectural Studies while coordinating a range of student design construct projects.
Joti is a PhD candidate at the University of Tasmania undertaking research into the integration of design-build education within academic contexts to provide tangible educational benefits to students within architecture and cognate disciplines.
