My research focuses on the ecological intensification of vineyard systems from the ground up.

This research is centered on the role of under-vine cover crops as tools for increasing arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi and soil organic carbon stocks.

Further to this, I am interested in exploring litter decomposition rates in the under-vine area, understanding rates of nutrient cycling in different litters and systems.

2025 - 2025 Co-Supervisor This project examines whether inorganic soil nitrogen availability, specifically nitrate and ammonium, is associated with flowering in *Maireana sedifolia* (pearl bluebush), with the aim of understanding whether nitrogen limitation contributes to poor seed production in this arid-zone shrub.
