Since retiring in 2017, Professor Svigos has been working with SA Country Health in Port Augusta and Gawler Hospitals and centrally in Adelaide at the Lyell McEwin Hospital (NALHN) as a Senior Visiting Obstetrician and Gynaecologist.He was a Senior Visiting Obstetrician at The Queen Elizabeth Hospital 1978 – 1988, and later as Senior Obstetrician, at Women’s and Children’s Hospital (formerly the Queen Victoria Hospital).He has special interests in High Risk Obstetrics, laparoscopic surgery, vaginal reconstructive surgery, and the surgical correction of urinary incontinence.
