John Pike is a lecturer at the UniSA College (Education Futures), currently teaching Digital Literacy: Screen, Web and New Media, and Future Ideas: Information and the Internet.
His research interests include the use of digital technology and generative AI in teaching, learning, and assessment. He is a co-facilitator of the generative AI special interest group in the National Association of Enabling Educators of Australia (NAEEA).

His PhD, completed in 2020, involved an analysis of media discourses of digital games. The thesis is available here.
