I am a Synthetic Organic Chemist with extensive experience in peptide synthesis and electron transfer in peptides. I completed a PhD with the Abell group at Adelaide University in 2015, and since then have been employed as a post-doctoral fellow within the same group. I have also enjoyed an association with IPAS and particularly, the CNBP. My current work involves a number of areas including medical research, and developing photoswitchable sensors for molecular interaction. During the past few years I have gained valuable insights regarding the techniques required to synthesize and characterize various molecules, such as HPLC, NMR, mass spectroscopy and molecular modelling.

Research Interests

Organic Chemistry, Organic Synthesis, Peptide Synthesis, Heterocyclic Chemistry, Photo-switchable Compounds, Medicinal Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Electron Transfer, Fabrication of biosensor, Macrocyclic Chemistry, Molecular Electronics, Click Chemistry, Ring Closing Metathesis, Lactamisation, Surface Chemistry, HPLC, Mass Spectroscopy, and all forms of NMR.
