Associate Professor Jim Jannes is a Clinical Associate Professor at the University of Adelaide and Senior Vascular Neurologist at Central Adelaide Local Health Network (encompassing The Queen Elizabeth Hospital and Royal Adelaide Hospitals). He served as the inaugural chair of the South Australian Stroke Clinical Network and was appointed as the Transforming Health Stroke Project Lead (SA Health) between 2015-2017. Associate Professsor Jannes has pioneered the evolution of acute stroke services in South Australia, including establishing dedicated Stroke Units and TIA Rapid Assessment Clinics within metropolitan and rural South Australia. His Ph.D. research was in the field of stroke neurogenetics and he has published widely in the field of cerebrovascular disease.
