Jiarui is a research associate at University of South Australia, with a passion in bringing sustainability and circular economy into building industry. As an early career researcher, he has published several journal papers in prestigious international journals in sustainable concrete technology. His research interests focus on the transformation of industrial waste into low carbon concrete feedstock, especially, the valorisation of drinking water treatment sludge, bauxite residue and coal combustion product as aluminosilicate precursors for the production of alkali-activated material or supplementary cementitious material for cementitious composites.
