Faculty of Sciences, Engineering and Technology

Researcher at the University of Adelaide working on water pipeline inspection and monitoring techniques using pressure transients and artificial intelligence. I am fascinated by the processes involved and the complexity of water supply systems in urban areas.

Passionate about teaching and research communication. Inspiring young engineers on the importance of water and the future of this valuable resource is one of my career goals.

Postdoctoral Researcher in the School of Civil, Environmental & Mining Engineering at the University of Adelaide.

My current research is focused on:

1) analysis of high-frequency pressure measurements for transient network calming in smart water networks

2) active and passive inspection of water pipelines using Artificial Neural Networks and fluid transients

3) optimisation of energy use in water supply systems using renewable energy sources, such as solar energy and battery storage, behind the meter.

My research plans include building collaborative relationships with water utilities for the development of techniques using Machine Learning and/or optimisation tools for solving asset management and water resources problems related to drinking water systems.
