Ms Jennifer Chalmers

School of Education
College of Education, Behavioural and Social Sciences
I am a lecturer in mathematics and science education within Education Futures at the University of South Australia. I am passionate about STEM education and so I am undertaking my Doctorate of Education to investigate the use and impact of digital technology on adolescent girls' motivation for STEM education. I hold a Bachelor of Science in Physics from the University of Glasgow and a Professional Graduate Diploma in Education in Secondary Science from Strathclyde University. I developed my passion for engaging girls in STEM education whilst teaching secondary science in Scotland. I am now conducting my research as part of the Centre for Change and Complexity in Learning (C3L) to improve this experience for both teachers and students, and help plug the leaky STEM pipeline.

- EDUC 5197 Science for Secondary Teaching 1 (2025)
