
Dr Jennifer Bonham

Jennifer Bonham has a background in human geography specializing in urbanization and cultural practices of travel. Currently, her undergraduate teaching focuses on urban processes while her postgraduate teaching focuses on urban mobility and active travel. Jennifer's research draws on post-structuralist and feminist theoretical frameworks as it explores the complex relationship between bodies, spaces, practices and meanings of travel. Her current research focuses on cycling and the formation of cycling subjects. Jennifer's work is informed by a concern for equitable and ecologically sustainable cities. She is a member of the Australian Walking and Cycling Conference reference group, a current member of the editorial board of the journal Transfers and leads the Urban Mobilities research group within the Centre for Housing and Urban and Regional Planning.
