MUDr. Jan Stanek is an expert in Digital Health/Health Informatics and Clinical Informatics now leading the Clinical Informatics theme in the Industrial AI Research Centre at the Adelaide University. Dr. Stanek has extensive interdisciplinary experience ranging from chemistry/biochemistry, clinical medicine (qualified in internal medicine, taking roles of senior consultant in tertiary hospital in Bratislava, founding Head of Department of Clinical Nutrition in a teaching hospital in Bratislava pioneering enteral nutrition and total parenteral nutrition in cardiorespiratory ICU, teaching advanced courses in Special nutrition at Postgradual Academy of Medicine in Bratislava); Clinical artificial intelligence (pioneered introduction of AI system into clinical medicine in Central Europe;  leading the Health informatics/Digital Health themes in the Advanced Computing Research Centre, UniSA); through to Clinical database design, health data extraction and advanced data analytics in health (especially process mining in health context).
