PhD Researcher | Nanomedicine & Biomaterials | TEM operator | Educator
I am a PhD Researcher and Educator with over a decade of expertise spanning nanophysics, biomedical engineering, and advanced material synthesis. Currently completing my doctoral research at Adelaide University, my work focuses on developing multifunctional "theranostic" agents designed for simultaneous cancer imaging and the enhancement of radiotherapy efficacy.
In My PhD, I am investigating a novel nanotechnology-based radiosensitisation strategy to improve cancer treatment outcomes. Specifically, I am utilizing FerroTrace® Superparamagnetic Iron Oxide Nanoparticles (IONPs), stabilized with polyacrylamide copolymers and conjugated with Fibroblast Activation Protein (FAP) ligands developed in collaboration with Purdue University. My research evaluates how these targeted nanoparticles enhance the efficacy of X-ray radiation against cancer-associated fibroblasts. By employing a rigorous multiparametric approach—including clonogenic survival assays, ROS assay—I aim to validate increased cellular death and precise tumor mapping through the MRI and MPI. Supported by Ferronova, this project bridges the gap between complex nanotechnology and clinical application, positioning my findings within a real-world translational pipeline for more precise cancer therapy.
Throughout my career, I have specialized in the design and modification of nanoparticles for oncology, with a particular emphasis on:

Nanomaterial Synthesis: Expert in the green synthesis of bismuth, gold, silver, and platinum-based nanoparticles for radiosensitization.
Advanced Characterization: Proficient in high-level laboratory techniques, including TEM facility management, SEM, XPS, and magnetic characterization (VSM).
Preclinical Research: Extensive experience in cell culture (MTT assays, ROS generation) and in vivo animal studies to evaluate drug delivery systems and CRISPR/Cas9 delivery.

Beyond the lab, I am a dedicated educator with a strong background in teaching Physics and Specialist Mathematics. I take pride in mentoring the next generation of scientists, helping students transform their academic performance through critical thinking and rigorous problem-solving strategies.
Core Expertise:

Scientific: Nanomedicine, Radiosensitization, Drug Delivery Systems, MRI/CT Contrast Agents, and 3D Bioprinting.
Technical: Spectroscopy (ICP-MS, FTIR, EPR), Thermal Analysis (TGA/DSC), and Data Analysis (MATLAB, Origin Pro, GraphPad Prism).
Languages: English, Persian, and Turkish.

I am always open to collaborating with fellow researchers, clinicians, and industry professionals at the intersection of nanotechnology and healthcare.
