I am a Full-Time PhD Student at Adelaide University, Waite Campus, supervised by Associate Professor Susan Bastian, and Co-Supervised by Dr. Paul Boss (CSIRO) and Associate Professor Armando Corsi.
I began my undergraduate studies in Viticulture and Oenology at the University of Adelaide in 2017. From there, I was fortunate to participate in an exchange to UC Davis in California for a full calendar year in 2020, where my passion for sensory science began. Upon returning to Australia, I began my honours degree in Sensory and Consumer Science and finished with a First-Class Honours. This work was published in the OenoOne journal in 2023.
In 2023, I returned to the university to begin my PhD in Sensory and Consumer Sciences, with my project expanding into areas of Molecular Biology and Analytical Chemistry.
My PhD project is titled: Investigating Novel Germplasm Solutions: Sensory Characteristics and Consumer Acceptance of Wines Produced from Mildew-Resistant and Gene-Edited Grapevines
