Ishtiaq Ahmad received the B.S. degree (magna cum laude) in telecommunications engineering from NUCES-FAST, Islamabad, Pakistan, in 2007, the M.S. degree (Hons.) in electrical engineering from the King Saud University (KSU), Riyadh, KSA, in 2012, and the Ph.D. degree in information and communication technology from the Institute for Telecommunications Research (ITR), University of South Australia (UniSA), in 2018. From 2008 to 2012, he was a Research Assistant with the Prince Sultan Advanced Technologies Research Institute (PSATRI), KSU, where he worked on many national and international research projects. From 2012 to 2014, he was a Junior Lecturer with the Prince Sattam Bin Abdulaziz University, KSA. He joined UniSA in 2014, where he is now a Research Fellow (equiv. to Assistant Professor in North American academic ranks) at ITR. His current research interests include high throughput satellite systems, cooperative communications, nonlinear multi-hop MIMO-OFDM systems, and EEG signal processing. He has authored/co-authored over 25 internationally refereed journal and conference papers. His paper received the finalist Best Student Paper Award in the 2011 IEEE IB2Com conference, Melbourne, Australia.
