I am a final year PhD Candidate in the School of Psychology at the Adelaide University. My research investigates the impact of content moderation on the psychological wellbeing of the content moderators. I am interested in exploring the nature of organisational stress experienced by content moderators. I am interested in exploring how organisational stressors might influence wellbeing outcomes and decision-making in content moderators. Additionally, in my PhD I will be investigating the mechanisms of coping currently used by content moderators and how they can be better supported with psychological interventions.
The objective of my PhD is to further explore our current understanding of content moderation. I specifically focus on the job role stress, wellbeing outcomes and decision-making processes under high risk and pressure. I am interested in exploring how organisational stressors affect content moderators, what mechanisms of coping are currently being used by them and how to support them through interventions.
