I am a PhD candidate supervised by A/Prof. Emma Sherratt, Dr Mark N Hutchinson and Dr Liz H Reed. I specialise in fossil goannas (Varanidae) from the Quaternary Period (2.6 Ma to present) and am interested in how goannas have changed in their shape and distribution over time. I use geometric morphometrics to assign fossils to taxonomic or ecological groups based on modern comparative specimens, and taphonomy to investigate how lizard fossils ended up in their final resting place.
