As a Senior Lecturer in Business Analytics, Ilker is currently the Undergraduate Business Analytics Program Development Lead for the new Adelaide University (merger of Uni Adelaide and UniSA). Before becoming an academic, he was an AIM recognized senior education consultant who helped many students fulfil their academic and career aspirations. Later on, he graduated from the University of Melbourne’s Applied Analytics Master Program at the top of his class with 7.0/7.0 GPA & 91+ WAM. In his PhD at the University of Sydney, he developed an AI-augmented chatbot which ran a double-blind true experiment on humans. At the same university, he won Student Survey Award for Teaching in 2022 and was nominated for Wayne Lonergan Award for Outstanding Teaching, Professional Staff Award in the Innovator Category and Students’ Choice Award for Teaching in previous years. As a Harvard Data Science certified programmer, he uses R, Python, Json, Tableau, IBM Watson and Power BI for various data analytics projects and applications including but not limited to data & topic modelling, NLP, social media analytics, ML classification, and AI-based chatbot development. Ilker is also a tennis player/coach.
