Dr Henry Blake is a Lecturer in Exercise and Sport Science at the University of South Australia, where he coordinates the Motor Control and Learning and Human Movement Neuroscience courses. He has taught into more than a dozen different subjects across UniSA and Flinders University, developing a reputation for clear, supportive, and engaging teaching. His contributions have been recognised through multiple commendations for sustained excellence in teaching and consistently high student evaluations. Henry’s research focuses on physical activity, sport participation, health and well-being, and learning design principles. He has authored work in leading journals such as BMJ Open Sport & Exercise Medicine, American Journal of Men’s Health, and The Lancet Digital Health. Henry has a h-index of 6 and more than 580 citations. Alongside his teaching and research, Henry supervises Honours and PhD projects. He is an Accredited Exercise Scientist with Exercise and Sports Science Australia and currently serves as the Student Engagement Officer for South Australian. His broader work includes community health initiatives and collaborative research aimed at connecting evidence with practice.
