Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences
Haroon Shakeel joined SAiGENCI in March 2025, bringing over nine years of experience across academia, research, and industry. His background is rooted in machine learning, deep learning, and natural language processing (NLP), with a research focus on large language models (LLMs) and their applications in healthcare.
His interdisciplinary work spans medical imaging, EEG signal processing, NLP, and generative AI. Over the years, Dr. Haroon has contributed to a number of recognized projects that have received national and international awards, including the P@SHA Gold Award, Asia Pacific ICT Alliance Awards, and the AIEF National AI Championship. He has also been acknowledged for his teaching and mentorship, receiving the Outstanding Teacher of the Year Award in 2023 from Forman Christian College (A Chartered University), Lahore, Pakistan.
At SAiGENCI, he is involved in developing AI-driven methods to analyze human immunology and single-cell data. His expertise supports efforts to model immune system dynamics and better understand demographic and population-level variations, contributing to the broader goal of advancing precision medicine.
