I completed my Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree (top 3 highest) at Vietnam National University of Agriculture (formerly known as Hanoi University of Agriculture) in 2008. Following that, I pursued a Master of Biotechnology degree with first-class honors at Flinders University in 2015.
From 2010 to 2018, I held a lectureship position at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at Vietnam National University of Agriculture in Hanoi, Vietnam. During this time, I taught veterinary pharmacology to undergraduate students.
In 2018, I embarked on my PhD project titled "Pre-clinical in vitro and in vivo testing of novel antimicrobials for the treatment of bacterial infections" under the supervision of Prof Darren Trott, Dr Abiodun David Ogunniyi, Dr Torben Nielsen, and Dr Stephen Kidd at the School of Animal and Veterinary Sciences, The University of Adelaide (UoA). This project was conducted in collaboration with our Australian research partner, Neoculi Pty Ltd, directed by Dr Stephen W. Page.
My PhD work has been recognized with several prestigious awards, including the 2022 University Doctoral Research Medal and Mace Bearer (UoA), Dean's Commendation for Doctoral Thesis Excellence (UoA), and the SA Government International Students Award (Highly Commended): Academic Excellence Postgraduate-Research (awarded by the SA government).
Currently, I am serving as a post-doctoral researcher in an NHMRC Ideas Grant led by Dr Abiodun David Ogunniyi at the Australian Centre for Antimicrobial Resistance Ecology, the University of Adelaide, under the guidance of Prof. Darren Trott.
